How Much Do Forged Wheels Cost? A Real Price Guide

Machined face of a Corsa forged wheel

Real numbers for custom forged wheels: per wheel, per set, and what pushes the price up or down.

The short answer

A set of four custom forged wheels usually costs somewhere between about $3,000 and $8,000, depending on diameter, construction, width and finish. Big name brands can charge well over $10,000 for the same sizes. Cast replicas are cheaper, but they are not the same product.

At Corsa, a monoblock starts at $765 per wheel in 18", and each inch of diameter adds $100, up to $1,365 per wheel at 24". A 2-piece is the monoblock price plus $250 per wheel. Forged beadlocks start at $1,035 per wheel in 15x10. Every price is on our sizing and pricing page.

What actually drives the price

Diameter. A bigger wheel starts from a bigger forging and takes longer to machine. That is why price climbs with every inch.

Construction. A monoblock is machined from one forging. A 2-piece adds a separate barrel and hardware, which adds cost but lets you run deeper lips and two-tone finishes.

Width. Very wide wheels need more material. At Corsa, widths up to 10" are included, and wider wheels add $60 to $115 per wheel.

Finish. Most colors cost nothing extra. Brushed, polished, chrome and fully custom finishes take more hand work, so they carry an upcharge.

Real examples

A square set of four 20" monoblocks: 4 x $965 = $3,860.

A staggered 20" monoblock set, 20x9 front and 20x11 rear: 2 x $965 plus 2 x ($965 + $60) = $3,980.

A set of four 22" 2-piece wheels for an SUV: 4 x ($1,165 + $250) = $5,660.

Shipping is free worldwide at Corsa, so these numbers are the wheels delivered, before tires and mounting.

Is a cheap forged wheel worth it?

Be careful with prices that look too good. Some "forged" wheels are really flow formed or cast with a forged center. Ask what alloy is used, how the wheel is engineered and tested, and whether the set is built to your exact fitment or pulled off a shelf. Every Corsa wheel is forged from 6061-T6 aluminum and checked with FEA to SAE, JWL and VIA standards.

How payment works

At Corsa you start with a 50% deposit after you approve your design, and the balance is due before the set ships. Production takes about 4 to 7 weeks. Before you pay anything, you can get a free render of your car on the wheels you like.

Questions

How much is a set of forged wheels?

Most custom forged sets fall between about $3,000 and $8,000. At Corsa a 20" monoblock set of four starts at $3,860.

Why are forged wheels so expensive?

They start as a solid forging of 6061-T6 aluminum and are CNC machined for hours, then finished by hand. Cast wheels are poured into a mold, which is much cheaper.
